Tour Description
Day 1:
Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at 9:30 am in the lobby of your hotel. Drive 2.5 hours to the Gubeikou folk village. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local farmer House before we start our adventure trekking on the Wall. Then hike 15-minute through the trail on the hill behind the farmhouse to reach the Gubeikou Great Wall. We hike from tower to tower and take breaks on top of different watchtowers. Take some awesome pictures of the 1400 years old Great Wall which has been first built in the Bei Qi Dynasty. After 3 hours hiking, we will arrive at the Gubeikou General Tower. You can see the “whole Gubeikou to Jinshanling trek” from the start to the end. We will get out from the the Wall here since the Restricted Military section in the front is not open to the public. By hiking along the track through the farm fields, we will come back to the Wild Jinshanling Great Wall. It’s also the best place to enjoy the beautiful sunset and take amazing photos together with the professional tourist photographers who are waiting there.
Come down from the Zhuanduokou Pass and walk through a well-paved track down to a farmer house at the foot of the mountain. Our delicious dinner is preparing by the friendly host.
Tour Description
Day 2:
Get up early in the morning for our perfect snapshot of the “Great Wall sunrise” at the Xiaojinshan Tower on the restored Jinshanling Great Wall. Spend 1 or 2 hours on the wall as you want. Come down to the farmer house to have breakfast and then drive back to Beijing.
Trekking on the original wild Great Wall and the partly restored section, you can see how the Great Wall of China looked like during the Ming Dynasty.
If you would prefer to come back to your Beijing Hotel at night, we can also start early in the morning. Trek 5 hours from Gubeikou to the Jinshanling Great Wall. Have a simple picnic on the Wall. Back to your hotel around 7:30 to 8 pm.
